Overview

Premium Kidney Beans from Kenya

Kidney beans are dried legumes with a distinctive kidney shape, deep red colour, and robust composition. The beans are harvested, sun-dried, cleaned, sorted, and graded to remove defects, discoloured beans, and foreign matter. They are packed in food-grade polypropylene bags, kraft paper sacks, or bulk containers, meeting international food safety standards and phytosanitary requirements for export markets.

Kidney beans are sourced and exported by Jabali Madini Ltd from Kenya through the Port of Mombasa to food manufacturers, canning companies, and institutional buyers across East Africa, West Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Consistent demand exists from soup and sauce producers, ready-to-eat meal manufacturers, and restaurant supply chains. The product is available FOB Mombasa in 20-foot container quantities with standard lead times of 2 to 4 weeks. Export documentation includes certificates of origin, bills of lading, phytosanitary clearance, and quality testing reports.

Who Buys This Product

Our kidney beans are imported by buyers across the following industry segments:

Canned Bean and Vegetable Manufacturers

Canning companies process kidney beans into ready-to-eat canned products for retail distribution across supermarkets and convenience stores. The uniform size and consistent quality ensure efficient processing, attractive presentation, and reliable shelf stability in canned bean formulations.

Soup and Sauce Producers

Soup manufacturers and food processors use kidney beans as a key ingredient in canned soups, dried soup mixes, and prepared sauces where the beans provide nutritional value, texture, and consumer appeal. The beans cook evenly and retain their shape during processing, maintaining product quality throughout the production chain.

Institutional and Foodservice Suppliers

Restaurants, catering companies, and institutional kitchens purchase kidney beans for menu preparation in dishes such as chilli, rice bowls, and vegetable stews. The dried format allows for bulk purchasing and flexible cooking schedules while maintaining consistent nutritional and culinary properties.
