Premium Chickpeas from Kenya
Chickpeas are dried leguminous seeds with a distinctive round shape and light beige colour. The product undergoes mechanical harvesting, thorough cleaning, gravity separation, size grading, and polishing to achieve uniform quality before being packed into 25 kilogram or 50 kilogram polypropylene bags or bulk containers for ocean freight.
Chickpeas are exported by Jabali Madini Ltd from Kenya through the Port of Mombasa to food processors and distributors in the Middle East, Europe, South Asia, and East Africa. Steady demand exists from hummus manufacturers, canneries, and snack producers. The product is offered FOB Mombasa in full container loads with lead times of 2 to 4 weeks.
